TL;DR — We're leveling-up. On February 21, 2025, 13:30 UTC to 14:00 UTC., Avantis will deploy new smart contracts (v1.5). This major protocol upgrade will enable new trading features. All trading activities—including opening and closing positions, take profit and stop loss orders, and position modifications—will pause for 15–30 minutes. On 21st of February, 2025 at 13:30 UTC to 14:00 UTC, Avantis will be migrating to v1.5, a new set of smart contracts.

During the process of migration, the following activities will be paused:

• Opening positions (market + limit orders across crypto, forex, metals).
• Closing positions (market + limit orders across crypto, forex, metals).
• Modifying existing positions.
• Stop loss / take profit triggers.
• Liquidations.
• Ability to create Referrals will be paused from 9:30 UTC to 14:00 UTC.

Activities that will continue to function normally:

• Earn Tab: Depositing USDC to the Junior or Senior vaults, locking & unlocking USDC.
• Borrow Tab: Borrowing USDC from the ‘borrow’ tab on the platform.
• XP: Users will still continue to accrue XP during this brief downtime.

During the time of the upgrade, the platform will be under maintenance mode, which can be verified by looking at the bottom left corner & the top banner.

After the upgrade (post 14:00 UTC), the platform will continue to function normally, positions eligible for SL / TP will begin triggering. Liquidations will also be processed.
